Word-Filled Wednesday – “The Name”

Luke 1:31-32

You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.

He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.

It is my desire to truly absorb these words this Christmas season. What does His name truly mean  to us?  He is the Son of the Most High!! Further down in Luke 1 Mary said to the archangel Gabriel in verse 38, “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.”  These words of Mary come to me very often and I wonder if I am saying myself, “May it be to me as you have said Lord”. That is my heart’s desire but I feel so often that I fall short of fulfilling these words.  It is my prayer that I can represent His name, the name above all names,  in a more glorifying way this coming year.

Our hostess this week is Lori at “All you Have to Give” . You can check out more entries at Lori’s site where you will find the MckLinky. Before you add a post please go to the 160 Acre Woods  for the guidelines for posting on WFW.
