Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! —Psalm 46:10

 

This Thursday I am thankful that I know God.  That may sound like a strange thing to say but it has been amplified in my soul lately; for you see, there was a time in my life that I knew about Him but I couldn’t really say I “knew” Him.  I think in many ways I did not feel that I was worthy to know Him–that there was no way I could be good enough to know Him and to be downright truthful in some ways I was too angry to know Him. But that all changed one day when for some reason I got still and realized that I truly needed to
“know” Him and all those reasons I thought I could not were just noise keeping me from hearing His still small voice.  So on this day I am thankful that I know Him and to know that He loves me with an “everlasting love” and I pray that many many more will come to know His love and hear His still small voice. May He be exalted among the nations and on this earth.
